Mr. Zahner is a Principal at zpd+a. Mr. Zahner has more than 20 years of architectural, planning and design experience that encompasses a wide range of project types and sizes. He has provided programming, space planning, conceptual design, contract documentation and construction administration services on several notable projects. Previous to his employment with zpd+a, Mr. Zahner worked on several award-winning projects including single family & multi-family residences, tenant improvements and hospitality suites. One project of particular note is the Rosa residence that was featured in the Fall '04 "Home" issue of Chicago Magazine, under the title "French Kiss".
Anthony Zahner graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois Chicago. Mr. Zahner has recently completed the new municipal complex for the Village of Sauk Village. Another project that Anthony has overseen is the design and construction of the adaptive reuse of an existing Wal-Mart into an office building for BlueCross BlueShield in Tulsa, OK. Anthony possesses a keen understanding of planning and facilities design processes, and his ability to focus on schedules, budgets and communication has enabled zpd+a to effectively complete our most challenging assignments on time and on budget.
Mr. Zahner is very active in the community. He is one of the founding members of Architreasures, a non-profit Community Development organization in Chicago. Architresures raises community involvement in the urban landscape by partnering architects, artists, educators, and urban activists with community groups, students, and neighborhood organizations. Architreasures facilitates creative solutions using a participatory design process.
