If you spend more than 5 minutes with Tai, she’ll probably tell you some obscure fact about wherever you happen to be standing, identify some edible flowers, and then speak in a foreign language to a random passerby, none of which will be a non-sequitur. Integrating a wide range of data, experience and influence is her hallmark, and she works hand-in-hand with her clients, bringing creativity into the built environment. Her core belief is that great design enriches lives, and she thrives on collaboration with each project team to integrate creativity and sustainability while maintaining schedule and budget.​

Tai has a deep interest in the human experience and consistently infuses a wide range of knowledge in art, travel, psychology, culture and creativity throughout her work. As a Principal at zpd+a, Tai manages a dynamic team of employees and consultants, leveraging a range of skills within each project. Fluent in 5 languages, Tai literally approaches her role in design as a translator, facilitating the journey from design to completion while communicating between owner, contractor, subs and other key figures within the process. A firm believer that “the biggest room in the world is the room for improvement,” Tai is dedicated to the manifest success of each project. Focusing on the user experience, Tai strives for well-organized and architecturally interesting spaces, complimented by a pleasing  palette of materials, colors, furniture and furnishings working together to meet any individual client’s desired aesthetic, Tai adds another dimension to the zpd+a approach toward total design solutions, tailored to meet each client’s goals.
